To view your webinar progress, you can click the webinar progress pie on the right side of the page or by clicking “Progress” in the action buttons. You will be able to get a quick view of your completion progress and see your completion status, date started, and date completed, respectively.
To download resource materials, go to Resources, click the “Download” button from the downloadable resource material posted. It should automatically download the file once you have clicked the “Download” button.
Your certificate will be available for download when you click the webinar progress pie once you have registered and attended the webinar.
This is an open discussion about the Sitch. Please post your observations, ask questions, reply and help others. You can also add files, links, photos and videos. Use the other actions in Analysis, Solutions and Impacts for more specific actions.
The purpose of Situation Expert is to help you fix, solve and improve work issues and at the same time learn from it. The Sitch is where you present the work situation or problem that you need to fix, solve or improve.
If you are expected to create and submit a Sitch, you need to write a short description of the situation/issue, the objective, and the biggest challenge. You can add a short video or an image to better describe or explain your Sitch. You can also add Resources, which are references related to the Sitch.
Take note of the instruction guide icon (i) and video icon (>) located next to the section headings. Their purpose is to explain further the value and benefits of the Sitch process.
If you are expected to post answers to the Sitch, the first thing to do is reflect and study the Sitch. When you’re done reflecting on the Sitch, the next step is to do Instant Thinking. Instant Thinking process is sharing your initial thoughts, experience, gut-feel, or intuition to the Sitch. The option to see other’s Instant Thinking in order to learn as a group is available, but it depends on your company system’s policies and restrictions.
The next step is to do Analysis. In Analysis, there are several Tools to help you analyze the root causes of the Sitch. The purpose of Analysis is for you to reflect on the different perspectives of the problem. Take note that in Surface thinking mode, only one of these Tools is shown.
The next step is to do Solutions. There are several Tools that you can use to provide your answers, solutions, or suggestions to fix, solve or improve the Sitch. Take note that in Surface thinking mode, only one of these Tools is shown.
When done with your Solutions, move next to More. This is where you will find more Tools - Sense-making, Results, and Feedback. Sense-making is pattern-making or discovering common ideas or trends from each solutions contributed by the other group members.
To view other member’s Sense-making and to add an entry, double-click on the person’s Deep Smart nodes. Click Save when you’re done.
Next to Sense-making is Results. Results is where you show the Impacts. Impacts helps you and the trainers and leaders gauge the benefits of the solutions presented by the group members, in terms of efficiency, savings, and quality.
Finally, Feedback asks you for your learning experience doing the entire Sitch process and your suggestions or comments on how the application can be improved or was useful to you.
It is very important to go through all these steps - The Sitch, Instant Thinking, Analysis, Solutions, Sense-making, Results, and Feedback. You can view your Sitch Progress on the colored pie icon on the upper right side of the page. Always make sure that you have 100% completed the Sitch process.
In Situation Expert, there is an available setting or option to create Groups. To view the different groups, click Group, found on the upper part of the page. Take note that you can only view groups that you are a member of, or assigned to.The purpose of which is to be able to customize the Group Workflows according to specific areas of interests.
All groups have Group Workflows. There can be one or several Workflows. To show the list of workflows, click the group logo icon on the left side. The purpose of the Group Workflow is to show the work process (i.e. production process, safety process, etc.), leadership sequence or considerations, pressing work issues, and anything that has to do with the course of doing work for the specific group. It can also serve as a table of contents or a learning structure. It can also be used to present and organize modules and programs. But its main purpose is for easy navigation and organization of the programs, lessons, guides, etc. in terms of how to fix, solve and improve common work issues.
Whenever you open a workflow section, it will be checkmarked indicating that you have completed it. As admin, you can add files and links to related lessons, resources, and videos. You can also link Sitches to the workflow.
List and Workflow Views
There are two view modes of the workflow - List view and Workflow view. The default view setting is Workflow view. To toggle to List view, click List. To go back to Workflow view, click Group Menu, then click Workflow.
In the Sitch process, you have the option to do Surface thinking/learning (default) or go Deeper thinking/learning. To toggle to Deeper mode, click the icon found below the Sitch title. When you switch to Deeper mode, you will notice a change in the Analysis tools.
Deep Learning Tools
Unlike in Surface mode where only one tool is shown, in Deeper you will find several Dig Deeper tools (Fishbones Checklists, Videos, Downloads, Links, 80/20 Ideas, Sketches, Frames, Group Think Comments, Pros and Cons, What Ifs, Workarounds, Mapping Ideas, Contributions, Scaling Capacity, Improving Work) to help you think through the Sitch. Just click on the applicable tool/s you wish to use. It is very important to select the appropriate Dig Deeper tool so that you can analyze the problem correctly. That way you are able to widen your understanding of the issue and are also able to contribute deeper analysis and solutions to the Sitch (situation).
Take note, though, that this option is only available if and when your leaders, managers, trainers allows it to be a part of your learning design process.
As group members, you have the option to view the progress report of your activities within the group. To check on it, click My Progress. In this page, you are shown your Sitch completion status, the report on your assigned project (if there’s any), discussion posts, and resources you have previewed.
Another way to check your activity status is through the Group Menu. From Group Menu, under Progress are Stats, Path2X, My Path2X Plan, and Surveys.
Stats shows you a bird’s eye view of the types of Tools (Instant Thinking and Deep Diving) that you have used in the Sitch.
Path2X shows you the track record of what you have accomplished. The expertise list is organized according to specific topics.
My Path2X Plan shows your plan of actions in terms of workflows, projects and other activities that you wish to accomplish.
For Situation Expert support-related issues and concerns, go to the Contact Us page. Click Contact located on the upper part of the page, right next to Group. Type in all the necessary information. You can also include a file, screenshot, or document (optional). Then submit. Once you’ve sent the form, expect an email confirmation from the support team immediately.
As an administrator, you can view the support messages sent to you by clicking the blue box(Hello, name!) on the top right corner of the page, then click Support on the drop-down menu. To see the support message details (status, ticket number, date, sender, message), click the view icon (>) right across the message you want to open. From there, you have the options to Send Email, Mark as Closed, Add Note, and Respond. Please take note that this is a one-way process. It’s sole purpose is to be able to respond to the initial support message sent to you. For follow-ups, you may send another email or do a callback, whichever is applicable or preferred.
Update your profile
Always make sure that your Profile is complete and updated. To go to Profile, click the blue box (Hello, name!) on the top right corner of the page then Select Profile. Write as many information as you can, share your learning goals,upload your photo, etc. The purpose of this is for other community members to know more about you, your learning needs, your key interest areas and expertise.
Complete the Sitch Process
Another way to be a good member is to do the Sitch process thoroughly and thoughtfully. The reason for this is to be able to contribute valuable answers and solutions, from which you and other group members can learn.
In the Sitch, whenever you see good and interesting ideas from other members, recognize it by clicking Deep Smarts and writing a comment on why you find it valuable. This way you are adding useful entries to the Deep Smarts listing. The Deep Smarts list is a selection of highly valuable comments and ideas you and other team members have recognized. Doing this gives the community members a richer, and more focused contributions which can lead to deeper learning discussions within your organization.
Alert Others is a feature that enables you to send an alert to other team members, managers, subject matter experts asking for their help in thinking through your Sitch. Take note that this feature is only available if your company activates it or allows it to be configured in the system.
Connect with other members
Increase your engagement and widen your connection with other members of the community by going to Members page. Click the menu icon (three horizontal lines) on top right next to Contact. Under Connections, select Members. You can interact with them by sending them messages, or you can choose to Follow others whose background or areas of expertise you may find interesting.
