1. One criteria in the Microlearning structure is to test the concept.
2. Observe if your learners are able to put themselves through the learning steps and processes.
3. Microlearning is not just a one-format content. It is in fact tailored to help learners get the answers as they need them.
4. Test your design. If your learners discover the way to get into the lesson, go through the process, and get out of it to apply the knowledge, then we can confirm that it has the microlearning standards.
You're talking about test and learn cycles in the design process. It took me a moment to separate distinguish what you were talking about between having tests in courses (which are time drags), and formative assessments. Being a Design Thinking advocate, I'm completely on board with this - though it will be difficult for us to do with our customers.
