1. Try starting your presentation by sharing an example of an incident.
2. It won't matter what you tell the learners if you don't give them the opportunity to have a conversation about the "news" so they could refocus their minds on the point you are trying to bring across.
3. Your goal is for them to quickly bring in their experiences and get them reflecting and be able to assess the topic at hand.
4. The important point is that they reflect on it. They can have different ideas as a result of that and it will be helpful in achieving the learning objectives of the presentation.
