Sitches are situations, jams, issues, errors, gaps, troubles, stoppages and many others to fix and solve. They are also opportunities to improve, grow, expand, and introduce better, faster and cheaper ways to get the desired results.
What is your Situation and Question?
Recently our office layout was revised from low lying cubicles with 4 people to a pod to an open layout with less desk space and more people clustered together. The mindset for the change in layout is to support an open communication environment, remove silos and increase productivity.
What's the biggest challenge?
The biggest challenge is trying to stay focused while working at your desk. Because we're so close to one another, the increase in office loudness and distractions has caused many to lose focus on work, step away from work or wear headphones to block out the noise.
What's the objective?
To help employees stay focused and productive while also allowing for open communication between teams.
