    I too always seem to start with the "Who, What, Why, When and How" to get to a solution. If I don't understand the need, I can fully provide a solution because it could be clouded by other misleading information which could lead to a different direction in resolution.

      I agree Mayra. I have seen too often where we are working like bonkers on a solution that may NOT be the solution and sometimes we do not have clarity of the problem.

    We have sponsored programs that reward individuals for surfacing issues and questions. Sometimes part of the reward was to include the originating worker in solving problem. Instead of just surfacing a concern the workers would be included in solving the problem and testing solutions. By including them we leveraged frontline expertise and championed internal networking.

    this is the best way to learn best practices, and learn from mistakes made (if decisions were good ones). Many times, workers who are problem-solvers may not be great when we get them to share how they solve the problems. But with the workflow process - structure provided, this structure makes it easier for workers to think through how they have solved the problems. This way, the great positive experience is captured and not forgotten, and can be replicated. Fantastic.

    We have just established Super Users in our team. Our expected outcome is that by having experts in one concentrated area and allowing them train others on a task or the diagnosis process will add to their Workflow Learning. One key point you mentioned which we can track on metrics is "are their conversations maturing". Do they become more comfortable discussing their specific topic? How confident are they in their knowledge and training others?

    We often forget to ask the people who are using the system everyday in their agencies what "what works best for you?" or "what about this process is not working, where are you blocked?" Unfortunately the IS department that writes the code for the system, does not realize or understand how the agent needs to work, what their day to day work life is like. We need to do a better job of asking the end users for assistance.

    I have seen the benefits of Daily Connects that occur every morning at 9AM for just 10 minutes. These sessions united various departments to meet for ONLY 10 minutes using a lightening round format.
